My new BJJ Gi is awesome

So, I finally snagged one of their BJJ Gis, the white one. It's super comfy and feels pretty solid when I'm rolling. I was a bit worried about the sizing, but it fit perfectly right out of the bag. Delivery took maybe 4 or 5 days, which was fine. Just a good, no-fuss experience all around. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for new gear.

Good rash guard, fast shipping

I bought a Long Sleeve Rash Guard. It fit well. Shipping was quick, got it in about 3 days. No issues at all, happy with the purchase.

Decent gear, average shipping

I ordered the Competition Gi and a pair of MMA Gloves. The gi feels really durable and the stitching seems high quality, which is great for training. The gloves are also well-made and offer good protection. My main gripe was the shipping time; it took about a week to arrive, which felt a little long compared to some other places. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, so that was a plus. Overall, good value for the gear, just wish delivery was a bit faster.

Great value on fight shorts

I was looking for some new Fight Shorts but didn't want to break the bank. I found some Grappling Shorts on their clearance section and decided to try them out. They were a really good deal, especially with the discount code I found. The quality is solid for the price I paid, definitely feels durable enough for training a few times a week. Shipping was pretty standard, got them within five days. Felt like I got a lot of bang for my buck, which is always good for the budget.

Thinking of grabbing one of their gis, but worried about shrinkage. Do Blunt Force Trauma gis shrink a lot after washing?

P Phil 1 month ago
Mine did a little, but nothing crazy. Just wash cold and hang dry, you should be fine.

Yeah, all gis shrink a bit. I always go a size up or at least check their size chart super carefully, then cold wash and air dry. Haven't had an issue with my BFT gi.

Anyone know how long shipping usually takes for Blunt Force Trauma? I'm in NYC and need a new rash guard before next weekend's comp.

L Laura Hughes 1 month ago
For NYC, probably 3-5 business days. Mine got to me in California in about a week last time.

I'm on the East Coast too, usually pretty quick, like 4 days max for me. If you order today you might just make it.

are their fight shorts IBJJF legal? looking at a pair for an upcoming tournament.

T Todd Kim 1 month ago
Most of them are, yeah. They usually specify on the product page if they are or not. The plain black ones are always safe.

Check the product description. I think many of their grappling shorts are, but always double check the color and any logos to make sure it meets the regs.

How do Blunt Force Trauma rash guards compare to Venum or Hayabusa? Quality-wise, especially for long-term use.

K Kevin 4 weeks ago
I've had rash guards from all three. BFT holds up just as well, maybe even better stitching than some Venum ones I've had. Hayabusa is good too but BFT is solid for the price.

Pretty comparable. My BFT long sleeve has been through a ton of washes and still looks good. Haven't seen any pilling or logos peeling off like with some other brands.

Can you use an athlete's discount code AND get the first-time buyer discount? Trying to stack them for a new gi.

T Todd Kaur 1 month ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. Tried it myself once and it didn't work.

Almost never can stack codes on any site, BFT is the same I think. It'll usually tell you at checkout if it doesn't apply.
